TouchStone Resources Vision
In keeping with our role as a social entrepreneur, our vision is to
ensure economic prosperity through the development of New
Energy and New Water by means of a new Social
Contract between the public and the private sector. Central to this
vision is the notion of managing natural resources like water and energy as a
flux rather than as a stock. A flux moves in time and space and can be recycled
if the system is appropriately designed, whereas a stock is depleted over time
and in general is managed as a linear process with an input and an output
consisting of waste. This means that all of our activities are
executed through partnerships carefully designed to align social objectives
with business realities, but at all times with the specific objective of
changing the way we manage resources, away from the traditional stock
perception, to a new flux perception in which the resource utility is
limited only by our ingenuity. A critical element of our thinking is based on
what we call the WEALTH Model.
